Welcome to the National Young Adult League (YAL) Weekend in NYC, a gathering of young adults from all over the country, to join together for four straight days of Faith, Fellowship, Networking and FUN!

This year's conference will take place at the New York Marriott Marquis in Times Square! The New York Marriott Marquis, located at 1535 Broadway on the corner of 46th Street, is an iconic fixture of Times Square and brilliantly captures the vibrant energy and spirit of Manhattan.

YAL is please to offer subsidized pricing for those attending the event. If you book through the the Clergy Laity room block through Marriott, you will receive:
- $50/room/night for those rooming alone. Must register for the full weekend package of the National YAL Conference.
- $100/room/night for those rooming with 2+ people (if you don’t have a roommate, you may indicate in your registration form). All guests in the room would need to purchase the full weekend package of the National YAL Conference tickets.
Please note: This hotel discount is only for those that purchase the full weekend package.
Reimbursements will be made via check after the National YAL Conference. Form needs to be submitted after hotel payment is made and National YAL Conference tickets are purchased. The first 100 rooms will be subsidized. Form can be found here.

General Session 1: Religious Freedom and Ecumenical Patriarchate
A panel discussion among lawyers, journalists, professors and clergy members about the political and legal issues relating to Greece and the Greek Orthodox Church, such as the autocephalous status of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, the Hagia Sofia, any developments regarding the Halki Seminary and other topics.
General Session 2: Understanding our Faith
A panel discussion among clergy members and professors about the history and ecclesiastical structure of the Eastern Orthodox Churches, the Greek Orthodox Church in America and its relationship to the Ecumenical Patriarchate, and the issues and challenges for the Orthodox faithful in the modern era.
Breakout Session No. 1. Practical Theology
Clergy and professors will discuss philosophy, the Bible, practical theology, and current topics that implicate our faith.
Breakout Session No. 2. Wellness and Mental Health
Wellness coaches, authors, psychologists, and athletes will discuss wellness and mental health, especially ideas for maintaining wellbeing and mental health for yourself and those around you during difficult times.
Breakout Session No. 3. The East Med
Journalists, think tank members, and lobbyists will discuss the East Med, especially the relationship between the U.S. and Greece, Cyprus, and Turkey and current events in the Eastern Mediterranean more generally.

Summer in NYC means it is warm and often humid! That said, we have a variety of different activities, so here’s a rundown of the type of outfits and additional items we recommend packing:
